Technology in the ministry

Dear Praying and Supporting Friends,

Ministry News

We are so excited and blessed to announce that on August 17, 2023, we got the keys to our new church building!  Our realtor had looked up the date of the first visit to our new location and it took us 1 year– minus 5 days– to complete the purchase of our new church home.  God’s timing is not always ours but it is always best.

Now we are in the process of remodeling and cleaning up.  There is much to be done, but by the Grace of God, we are planning on having our dedication service together with our Christmas Cantata on December 10.  Please pray for us as we do all the work needed to get the building up to par so we can get our occupancy permit.  We will have a CLAIM team come in October and that will be a tremendous blessing.

MBIB

In June, we held our 2nd annual MBIB national conference.  God blessed this year with 29 pastors or missionaries in attendance; 3 people were saved and we had several surrendered to full-time Christian service.  It was a tremendous blessing.

I have been blessed to preach at a missions conference in a town nearby in September.  Praise the Lord their Faith Promise was raised by 15%.  We are excited to see God stirring up Brazilians to support missions.

We have had 2 more Brazilian missionaries join our board.  Omar is doing something similar to BIMI’s CLAIM ministry.  He and his wife travel across Brazil helping to build church buildings and filling pulpits temporarily.  Maurilho and his family are going to be planting a church in a city with no Baptist church at all in the state of Sao Paulo.  Please pray as our mission now has 17 men and women who are serving the Lord here in Brazil and around the world.

Teen Congress

I was blessed to be asked to present 4 talks at a Teen Congress in Franca.  The theme was about Technology, its dangers, and its uses.  I taught about using technology to spread the gospel.  I shared about how to start an online radio station and how teens could help their church reach out to their city through social media platforms.  The teens seemed to enjoy it.  Even more importantly,  my wife and I were able to lead 2 young people to the Lord during the conference.  God is beginning to stir up young people in this country to do more for HIm.  We are excited to see what God is doing in Brazil.

In His Service,
