Dear Friends,
Praise the Lord for a productive and fruitful few months! The year started off with the return of my parents to Brazil. They came back ready to go and started several projects including some general improvements around the church. They also started several music groups so that we can have specials throughout the year. We have been helping with each of those over the last few months.
In March, our church participated in my uncle’s family camp in Taubate, a city about 2 hours away. The theme was “Heroes of the Faith” and each of the preachers focused on a different aspect of Hebrews 11&12. The preaching was great and each of our people were challenged in their own way. It was also wonderful to have fellowship with other churches as we only get to see them a couple of times a year.
Two weeks after camp we participated in our annual Field Conference. This is a week where all of the missionaries in South America that are able to can together for teaching and fellowship. It was encouraging to see a couple of new families and many long time friends. The teaching was, as always, exactly what was needed to encourage and challenge us in our ministries. We are so grateful for the willingness of Pr. Bob Wall to come down and speak to us.
This year we have challenged our teens to see 20 people saved. They have been so excited and looking for opportunities to see people saved. Praise the Lord, during the month of March Lily and I were both able to lead a few people to the Lord during teen soul-winning. One girl was also able to lead someone to the Lord during that time. It is encouraging to see our teens so excited about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray that those who get saved would start to come to church.
Our church also hosted a ladies spectacular the first Saturday of April. We had about 30 ladies in attendance from several different churches with 3 speakers. We will also be participating in a teen camp at the end of April. Pray that God would use this time to speak to our teens.
