Three surrender to full-time Christian service

Dear praying and Supporting Friends,

Compassion Baptist Church

God has been good.  Thank you for praying for Jorge, Vanessa, and Bruna.  They have been coming more faithfully.  God recently spared Jorge from serious injury when he was hit and dragged by a car while making deliveries for his job on his motorcycle.  He had emergency surgery on his hand and has some damage to his leg as well.  God is using this to bring him to church more often.

We had another lady, Julianna, who came to visit.  She is coming for Bible help and counseling each week with Rebekah.  Pray she will begin attending our church along with her husband and daughter.

We have two ladies who have completed their discipleship.  Praise the Lord they already have people they would like to personally disciple lined up.   We also had one of our teen boys, Gustavo, surrender to be a missionary in Portugal. Pray for him to stay faithful to God’s calling.

We held our annual national pastor’s conference for the mission in July.  We had around 25 pastors and missionaries in attendance.  The preaching was excellent.  We had two young men surrender to full-time Christian service as a result.  We have had two families that have reached out and shown interest in becoming missionaries under our board.  One is hoping to reach the deaf of Brazil, a very unreached people group in this country. The other is hoping to go to the country of Columbia.
